About Us
Eagle Valley Rescue Society is a nonprofit organization serving Sicamous and surrounding communities since 1993. We are the only local and authorized team that can provide the technical expertise required in vehicle extrication and low to steep bank rope rescue.
Our services are typically requested by BC Emergency Health Services (ambulance) where the need to extricate their patient from a situation is necessary in order to administer medical care. We also work alongside RCMP, local fire departments, and Search and Rescue.
Located along the Trans-Canada Highway #1—a major east-west corridor connecting destinations such as Calgary and Vancouver—Sicamous is a year-round hub for outdoor recreation. In July / August 2024 approximately 13,500 vehicles traveled this section of highway heading to a vacation, business or home.
Eagle Valley Rescue plays a critical role in local emergency response. As demand grows, so does the need for trained volunteers and specialized equipment. EVRS remains committed to responding when called and train weekly to maintain and advance our technical skills.
